The first step in ordering or enquiring about spares for your seagull is to provide the engine number stamped on the right hand side of the crankcase. This letter and number code  identifies your model and the correct parts to send to you.

Some of you rascals will attempt to order parts or obtain information from good ole Capt Charles without providing this very important piece of information. Then the nagging begins...

Remember that this number was hand-stamped at the factory possibly after an afternoon lunch at the local pub and that it may be a bit difficult to read. There are lots of good reasons for knowing this number because should some knave actually steal your seagull you can have the pirate arrested and your engine returned to you -if only you had copied down the engine number.... We note the number in our invoices so that if you ever loose it or the engine "walks" we have a record.

Just send us an e-mail with your engine number and let us know what you need. We can often suggest good used serviceable parts at a discount or new replacements. And we will work with you to make sure you really need those spares.

Thanks!  Charles Stearns

Champion D16 Spark Plugs Package of TWO

This is your standard spark plug for all seagulls. The easiest repair for your seagull is to replace the plug! You should always carry at least one spare. Replace the plug at the end of each season and keep the old one as a spare. Note when replacing the plug remember its a steel plug into an aluminum head so be careful of cross threading it - hand pressure only to insert and use a drop of oil on the threads. $12US for a package of TWO plugs

AMAL 46N THROTTLE CABLE  The Amal 46N carb is installed on the opposite side of the cylinder to the tiller handle and is on the classic seagulls. Note this will NOT work on the newer style AMAL 416 carb. If there is any doubt about your carb type just email me first Charles@britishseagullshop.com with your engine serial number. $24.95 US

BING CARB THROTTTLE CABLE The german made bing carb was only used on 2 and 3 hp seagulls for two years when villiers carbs were not available. Your engine will have a "G" in the serial number and the date of manufacture will be either 1977 or 1978. The bing carb is mounted on the tiller side of the motor and its most distinguishing characteristic is a sqaure aluminum air inlet cover. This will not fit on other carbs. If there is any doubt about your carb type just email me first Charles@britishseagullshop.com with your engine serial number. $19.75

British Seagull century cylinder used serviceable. This is a hard to find cylinder that has been cleaned and treated with a rust preservative ( wash off before use) Please note that is the larger 102 cylinder NOT the 64 cc cylinder found on 2 and 3 hp seagulls.  There are two types of 102 cc cylinders -one has the carb inlet on the port side and is used with the villiers type carb on Century seagulls. The other design has the carb inlet on the starboard side and is used with amal carbs on the silver century and silver century plus motors. THIS CYLINDER WILL ONLY FIT CENTURY SEAGULLS WITH THE VILLIERS CARB ON THE PORT SIDE. The century cylinders have a tendency to crack around the exhaust port. This one is fine. (no cracks!) $65US shipping and handling via expedited post to any North American address is $18  Paypal is preferred, other payment methods available. If unsure if it will fit please send me your seagull's serial number. Fits all  LLS, CP, CPC, WP, WPC models. This is a cost effective way of giving new life to your old Seagull century outboard. Treat her to a new set of rings and she will purr like a kitten. Well maybe not. More like the wailing banshee from hell. Its surprisingly easy to change out the cylinder on a Seagull. If you can get the head off without breaking a headbolt. (We have headbolts too) Charles@britishseagullshop.com
